Thanks. Writing on Stone has the largest collection of petroglyphs (stone carvings), and pictographs (paintings), by Indigenous peoples in the North American plains area. Worth a visit if you're ever in southern Alberta.

The drawings are surprising like ancient cave paintings, primitive and strong, but it is still graffiti.

Not necessarily, for the original artist and their people at the time, at may have had socio-economic and spiritual significance.
